Justin G. PERSAUD

Justin G. Persaud

In the world of family law, my journey is both personal and deeply rooted in a legacy of advocacy and compassion. As a seasoned family law lawyer, I stand at the intersection of legal expertise and a profound commitment to social justice, shaped by a unique upbringing and an unwavering dedication to those in need.

From a young age, working alongside my mother, a distinguished family law lawyer, I was imbued with a deep sense of purpose and an understanding of the complexities of family law. My mother's own experiences as a victim of domestic violence have provided me with an intimate perspective on the challenges faced by those we serve. This personal connection has been a guiding light in my approach, ensuring that my practice is not just about legal representation but about providing a beacon of hope and understanding to those affected by domestic issues.

Our family's decades-long tradition of serving the community has instilled in me a duty to continue this legacy. My areas of expertise include family law, child protection, domestic violence, and property-related matters, where I not only apply my legal acumen but also my personal insight to advocate for the best interests of my clients.

Beyond the courtroom, my commitment to social justice extends to working closely with shelters, offering legal support to those escaping abusive environments. This work is complemented by my role as per diem duty counsel, where I provide critical legal assistance to individuals who might not otherwise have access to representation. These trusted roles allow me to make a tangible difference in the lives of those I serve, reinforcing my commitment to justice and equity.

My practice is built on the belief that legal advocacy goes hand in hand with compassion and support. By understanding the profound impact of family law disputes on individuals and children, I am able to offer not just legal solutions but also a path to healing and empowerment. My dedication to my clients is unwavering, as I strive to ensure that every person I represent feels heard, respected, and supported through their legal journey.

As your family law attorney, I promise to bring all my experience, empathy, and dedication to your case, standing by you every step of the way. Together, we will navigate the challenges ahead, always with the goal of achieving not just legal resolution but also peace and a brighter future.

What makes working with Justin unique?
  • Personalization.  There is no staff that will "filter" calls.  When you call, you reach Justin directly.  This also means that Justin will always be involved and up to date on your case.
  • Expertise. As a family lawyer, Justin has extensive expertise.  He has worked in multiple legal practice areas (securities, immigration, criminal, and business) and he continues to teach at one of Canada's largest colleges.
  • Technology.  Justin is able to fully function his office in a streamlined and efficient manner by deploying technological tools.  He stays up to date with latest technological trends.
  • Empathy.  At the end of the day, you want a lawyer who cares about you and your best interests.  Justin truly cares about his clients and takes many proactive steps to seek their best interests.
  • Trust. We place a high degree of trust in our clients because they put their trust in us. As such, unlike law firms that will ask for thousands of dollars to be placed in a "trust" account before they even start working, Justin does not ask for a retainer fee.  Our practice is that we earn every amount invoiced before you hand over your hard earned dollars.
